EVERYTHING DOUGH

You can’t be everything to everyone unless we’re talking about this dough. This was my Mum Mum Mary’s go-to, or, dough-to… in making pasta or pie crusts. I found, however, once I began using this ball of wonder in my cooking, that it can be used not only for noodles and pies, but for wontons, egg rolls, empanadas, crackers and so much more. You dough know the possibilities till you try.

PREP/COOK TIME: 1 Hour 8 Minutes
Makes One Ball of Dough

INGREDIENTS

2 Cups – All Purpose Flour ($1.99 5 Lb Bag / $.22)

1 Tsp – Granulated Salt ($.89 26 Oz / $.01)

1 Cup – Water

THE NITTY GRITTY

In a large bowl, add flour and salt; whisk till combined. Making a well in the center; slowly add water until a smooth dough forms. Knead dough for 2 minutes; forming a ball. Cover ball with cling film, allowing dough to rest in a warm dry spot for at least 1 hour before using.
