SHREDDED CHICKEN SLIDERS
This recipe was developed to highlight my One Hour Sweet Hots, however, my Shredded Chicken Sliders deserve a little star service of their own. With most of the work being done using Del Real Foods® Pollo Deshebrado, it’s one of those meals in minutes that delivers weekend pit master flavor any day of the week.
PREP/COOK TIME: About 45 Minutes
Makes 12 Sliders
INGREDIENTS
2 Tbs - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Package (15 Oz) – Del Real Foods® Pollo Deshebrado
1 Tsp – Kosher Salt
½ Tsp – Coarse Black Pepper
1 Tbs – Ground Chipotle
2 Tbs – Mayonnaise
1 Tbs – Prepared Horseradish
1 Jar – One Hour Sweet Hots
½ Cup – Pickling liquid from One Hour Sweet Hots
2 Cups – Shredded Red Cabbage
1 Package (12 Count) – King's Hawaiian® Original Sweet Rolls
THE NITTY GRITTY
WHITE SAUCE – In a medium bowl, combine mayo, horseradish and pickling liquid; whisk till smooth.
SLIDERS – Prepare Pollo Deshebrado per instructions for stove top. Add in 1 Tbs Ground Chipotle, 1 Tsp Kosher Salt, ½ Tsp Course Black Pepper and about 2 Tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Slice entire slab of rolls lengthwise; split after slicing. Layer bottom rolls evenly with red cabbage followed by Pollo Deshebrado; slather on generously white sauce and Sweet Hots. Top with sweet roll tops and enjoy!
